Maximize Your Sales During the Holidays

Holiday season is quickly approaching and with a new abundance of holiday cheer comes an abundance of shoppers wanting to get those holiday wish list items checked off. Now ask yourself, is your business prepared to take advantage of the opportunities to attract customers and boost sales this holiday season? If not, check out these strategies to help your business capitalize on consumer momentum this season and enter into the New Year in a strong position.

Use those Email Lists

You know that list of customer emails you’ve been compiling all year? Now is the time to use it! (Hopefully, this isn’t your first.) To show how much you appreciate their business, reward your loyal customers by offering a gift card or coupon that they can redeem online or in-store. The holiday season is the time for giving, right?  So give. Not only is this great for your business’s holiday campaign, it’s great for fostering a long-term relationship with your customers.

The holiday season is also a great time for segmenting your email base to create targeted personalized messages to your customers. To push customers through the buying cycle, it’s important the content in your email is beneficial to them to make a purchase decision. For example, look at their order history. Do they buy a lot of a certain product? Send them locations of where they can easily go to buy the item during the craziness of holiday shopping or suggestions for other items based on what they have liked in the past.

Be Prepared

Just as fast as December came this year is as fast as customers will be rolling in to buy your products this holiday season. Make sure you’re ready for them. If your holiday campaign is focused on marketing certain items, make sure you can respond accordingly to demand. This includes staying on top of vendors and inventory and making sure your strategy is communicated through all levels of your organization. Your business should make sure that everyone involved in getting your product to the customer is positioned to meet the needs of this holiday season.

Be Involved in the Holiday Magic

With so many promotions and deals happening this time of year, it’s easy for marketing efforts to be overshadowed as a desperate attempt for holiday sales. If you want to distinguish your business notably during the holidays, consider getting involved in your community and sponsoring local charities and non-profit groups. Tapping into some themes of the holidays that are not just based on your product is a great way to stand apart and build your customer loyalty.

There’s only a few weeks left in 2019 and if you haven’t started strategizing how your business is going to meet holiday demands and maximize sales this season, now is the time to start. Make sure you’re doing the most during the most wonderful time of the year!
