Gina Simmons Awarded Top Woman in Convenience
Cheyenne International is thrilled to announce that our very own, Gina Simmons, has been selected as one of this year’s Top Women in Convenience by Convenience Store News. Recognizing that there are multitudes of women who bring value in this arena, CSN’s Top Women in Convenience program honors exceptional female leaders who have made an impact in convenience retailing and celebrates the outstanding contributions they have made to both their companies and the industry at large. Candidates were initially chosen by nominations from their companies and industry peers, with nominators asked to illustrate the candidate’s innovative corporate initiatives, extraordinary financial and strategic accomplishments, astute problem-solving acumen, exceptional performance, mentorship, and selfless charitable participation they’ve displayed throughout their work in the industry. After careful consideration by the Top Women in Convenience Advisory Board, along with the Network of Executive Women, awards were given to women from the retailer, wholesaler, and supplier communities in four different categories – Women of the Year, Senior-Level Leaders, Mentors, and Rising Stars. This accolade showcases how the industry is evolving to better recognize and cultivate female talent and each winner will be prominently recognized in the August issue of Convenience Store News Magazine. Winners will also be celebrated at an awards gala hosted in October at the 2023 NACS show.
Receiving this award back in 2020, our Director of National Accounts, Gina Simmons, is now on her second win as a Top Woman in Convenience and we couldn’t be prouder to have her represent the Cheyenne team and our business. Gina’s drive, passion, professionalism, and continuous efforts to go above and beyond the call of duty for our customers is a testament to the charge she delivers to the c-store industry and the overall integral role women play.
