NACS Show 2026 Takeaways

Another NACS Show is in the books! Last week, convenience industry professionals gathered in Las Vegas for four days of networking, education, innovation, and conversations about what’s next for the industry.

As one of the largest events in convenience retail, the NACS Show continues to bring together retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and industry leaders from across the globe. This year’s event was no exception, offering plenty of opportunities to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships, and gain valuable insight into the trends shaping our industry.

As the can’t-miss event of the year, the Cheyenne International team was excited to be part of the action once again. Here are a few of our biggest takeaways from the NACS Show 2026.

Another Impressive Year for NACS

The numbers speak for themselves! According to NACS, this year’s show welcomed 25,572 attendees from 74 countries and territories, making it the second-highest-attended NACS Show in history.

The 442,600-square-foot Expo featured 1,090 exhibitors showcasing products, services, and solutions across five major categories. Attendees also had access to 56 educational sessions covering some of the most pressing topics facing convenience retailers today.

Beyond the impressive turnout, the event reinforced just how much opportunity exists within the convenience channel. From emerging technologies to evolving consumer preferences, there was no shortage of ideas and innovations to explore.

Relationships Remain at the Heart of the Industry

While the NACS Show is known for its impressive Expo floor, some of the most valuable moments happen in the conversations throughout the event. For our team, NACS is an opportunity to connect face-to-face with the retailers, distributors, and industry partners who help drive our business forward.

Whether catching up with longtime customers, meeting new faces, or discussing opportunities for the year ahead, these interactions are what make the show so worthwhile.

In an industry that’s constantly evolving, strong relationships and open communication remain essential to understanding customer needs and finding ways to better support their businesses.

Staying Ahead of an Evolving Industry

If there’s one thing the 2026 NACS Show made clear, it’s that the convenience industry isn’t standing still.

This year’s educational sessions and exhibits highlighted everything from artificial intelligence and operational efficiency to changing consumer behaviors and new product innovations.

For retailers, staying competitive means understanding what’s happening across the industry while keeping a close eye on the categories and products that matter most to their customers. Within the tobacco category, that means continuing to monitor regulatory developments, evaluate product assortments, and identify opportunities to make the most of valuable backbar space.

As the industry continues to change, staying informed and willing to adapt will remain key to long-term success.

Looking Ahead to 2027

One of the biggest benefits of attending NACS is the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and perspectives back to our everyday business.

The conversations and connections made throughout the show don’t end when the Expo floor closes. They help shape future opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and keep us focused on finding ways to better serve our customers.

As we look toward 2027, we’re excited to build on the relationships and momentum from another successful show.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. We enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, meeting new industry partners, and spending time with so many of the people who make this industry great.

We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone at NACS Show 2027 in Atlanta!
